You don’t need to attend face to face registration days but it is recommended if you are struggling with teh online registration.

All new players will need to upload a photo during registration. Junior players must have their registrationc ompleted by a parent or guardian.

Your child will play with the age he/she turns in 2021. Eg if your child turns 8 in 2021 (born in 2013), they will play in the under 8’s.

Playing ‘up’ is generally not advised, but depending on a number of factors such as player numbers, individual skill etc. playing ‘up’ a grade can be an option.

Your child must be turning at least 5 to register.

Generally we take requests for siblings and players that need to travel together, but all requests will be considered before allocating a child to a team.

Registration will open on 1st Feb. The club wil host three face to face registration days on Feb 5th, 7th and 13th. Mor einformation will be posted closer to the date.

Registrations will close Sunday February 28th

Registration fees cover a variety of expenses that are incurred throughout the season. Here is a break down of the things covered by your registration:

  • State Registration
  • CCF Registration
  • Referee Fees
  • Field Costs
  • Floodlight & Facility Fees
  • Club Administration Costs
  • Equipments
  • General Operating Expenses

The TGFC is a not-for-profit club.  The club itself is only allocated a minor share of the overall registration fee, with most allocated to state and regional associations. The club uses their small allocation for club operations and facilities.

Please don’t worry if your status has not been updated. We will get to it!

Our administration team has to check ALL registrations and approve them in the system. This can take a long time. It is a manual process, and we have hundreds of players registering each year.

Once registrations are approved in the system, it can be difficult to make amendments. So, we often leave them as pending until late, so we can ensure the right numbers and team/age allocations.

Training & Games

All players are provided with a team jersey, which will either be returned at the end of the season or after games on a weekly basis. This will be organised on a team-by-team basis by the team coach or manager. The jerseys are provided by our club sponsors, so please give back by supporting our sponsors and their local businesses.

Players will need to buy club shorts and socks, which can be purchased from the club. Additionally, players will need shin pads and soccer boots (no steel studs).

Generally, training shirts can just be brought from home. However, for Men’s Division 1 & WPL additional training jerseys may be required for purchase.

Teams and managers are generally composed of players, club members or parents. All coaches and managers coaching underage teams require a Working With Children Check (please see our information page for forms).

Team training will be one to two times a week, depending on grade and age level. Trainings are typically held on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. Times may vary depending on coach availability. Your coach will advise on times before the season begins.

Training is held at Harry Moore Oval. During pre-season, some teams may train at different locations. Please contact your coach/manager for details.

Most games are played on Saturday & Sunday. Younger players usually play earlier in the morning but this can vary.

All home games are played at Harry Moore Oval. Away games will vary. Please see the CCF website fixtures or locations.

Please see the CCF website for game times and locations.

Coaches are directed to divide playing time as equally as possible for all players, regardless of player ability. If you have concerns about your child’s playing time, it is best to discuss this respectfully with their coach. Please remember that all coaches are volunteers and try their best to manage playing time fairly for all players.

Rain-outs depend on the field. If it rains, it does not necessarily mean the game or training will be cancelled. Our field is council owned, which means the council has sole discretion on opening and closing the ground. Please check the CCF website for the most up-to-date information on ground closures.

Training may be cancelled by a respective coach due to external circumstances. This will be communicated by coaches and managers to players.
